I took this photo at the Zilker Botanical Gardens of the water lilies right at the entrance. They are just beautiful right now! It was pretty bright (middle of the afternoon), so I tried different photo apps on my Evo. I think this was my favorite, it was with Vignette for Android. Right now I do not remember what setting it was in, I wish I did, but I guess that makes it one of a kind!

Daily Photo 2.3.11 (Frozen Fountain)
I thought I would take advantage of the freezing weather and get some photos of frozen fountains. I really like this fountain, with the great metal sculpture around it. This is located on Auditorium Shores, at S. 1st and Riverside Dr., just on the south side of the river (Lady Bird Lake). Did I mention this is in Austin, TEXAS!!

Daily Photo 6.22.10 (Sangria Margarita!)
Doesn’t this look delicious and refreshing? We had our Artist’s Way Meet-up Social at El Chile on Barton Springs, and one of my friends had this Sangria Margarita that was just so “pretty” I had to photograph it!
Daily Photo 6.20.10 (Blue Heron?)
Not sure if this is a Blue Heron or not, but it’s the closest I could find on google. We went down to Barton Creek to swim, and it was not flowing much in the area that we went to, but before we left, we did see this amazing bird that wanted to have his photo taken! It waited on the rock until I got my camera out, stuck around for a few poses, then flew away. I am impressed that I got the photo of him flying! Gorgeous!
Daily Photo 6.18.10 (Encaustic Art Reception)
My friend Kay Hughes had the reception for her encaustic “Black & White and Vintage Cars Art Exhibit” yesterday at Fair Bean Coffee on S. 1st St.. The show is just fabulous, if you get a chance to go see it, it will be up through July 5th. Also take a look at her work on her website Knott Garden Art! Here’s a couple of photos from the reception.

Daily Photo 3.3.10 (view from Oak Hill)
I went to the Creative Arts Society meeting tonight, which is held at the ACC Pinnacle Campus in Oak Hill. The view from the 10th floor is great, so I had to make sure I got a photo. It’s the “Y”in Oak Hill. I also took a night photo, but there was just too much glare on the glass (too much work for my photoshop skills).
