I had a chance to photograph bubbles yesterday! So much fun! I was impressed how some of them turned out! Here are my favorites.
Today I had the urge to play with my camera. I thought I would take photos at both extremes of the apertures! I like the different effects you get from both ends. Love the star burst shape from the f/22, and the bokeh from the f/1.4. Here’s what I got! (And thank you to my hubby for posing for me!!!) 🙂
I took this photo at the Zilker Botanical Gardens of the water lilies right at the entrance. They are just beautiful right now! It was pretty bright (middle of the afternoon), so I tried different photo apps on my Evo. I think this was my favorite, it was with Vignette for Android. Right now I do not remember what setting it was in, I wish I did, but I guess that makes it one of a kind! 🙂
My daughter, a friend and I headed over to East Austin this afternoon to photograph interesting things we came across, “urban” photos. We found some interesting graffiti, it amazes me the talent some of these artists have! Also I went to visit my Twitter friend at Blue Dog Printing ( @bluedogprinting on twitter) and got to meet her in person! Lots of funky photo ops around their place.
Tough choice, I had so many good ones, but here’s my favorites! I love the reflection in the 360 Condos! (The tall building next to the fireworks)
Well, I started my Daily Photo Blog at the beginning of 2010, hoping that I learn more about photography, learn my camera and I think I have done that. I do notice an improvement from the beginning of the year, and now when I want to take a specific photograph, technically- I kinda know what I am doing! 🙂
I wish all of you a very Happy New Year! I hope you all set goals and reach them (even surpass them!). I set some goals each year and I try really hard to accomplish them. Sometimes I feel that just by having some of my goals on my blog, or on Facebook, it helps me, because I feel like “I told the world, so now I have to do it!”
Here are my top 10, as chosen by friends, family, comments, views & myself:
I decided to try and photograph some of the ornaments on my tree. Well, I also photographed my entire tree, but I was not very happy with it, mostly I would need to move it so it would be in a better location, but not worth it. There are 2 of my favorites.
Last night was the Holiday Stroll in Downtown Austin, and it was wonderful! Christmas carols, shops open late, Christmas activities, art receptions, etc. This is a photo of a window decorated for the holidays with paper snow flakes. It was simple, and I love the way they had the light shining through it.
I love taking photos of buildings, specially when there are interesting geometric shapes involved in the design. I took several and I like this one, with the sun glowing off the window.
