Ok, I tried again to get better focus on the drops, the problem today…not so much rain! But this did come out pretty cool. Big “exploding” splash, and I like the drip on the bottom!

Daily Photo 1.15.11 (Capturing Rain Drops)
My goal on this ugly rainy day was to photograph rain drops. I tried to capture them, “freezing” them in time. This was tough, and I don’t think they came out great. The hard part was focusing on where the drops were falling. Also I didn’t want to get my camera wet! I know what to do now, but it got dark early so I was not able to try it. Maybe tomorrow (since there is more rain in the forecast). Here’s 4 of my shots.
Daily Photo 9.11.10 (Rain Drops-Black & White)
I did not get a chance to photograph today (It was a painting day), so I thought I would work on a photo from a few days ago. I was looking for something that I could do black & white (I love that about digital!) Here’s some of the rain drops on my porch from the big “flooding” rain we had a few days ago!

Daily Photo 4.22.10 (Beautiful Rose)
I got some gorgeous flowers today at work for Administrative Professionals Day/Week. I also got an amazing chocolate cake from Upper Crust Bakery and a bottle of wine! I was such a nice surprise! (I think they missed me while I was on vacation! I should go on vacation more often!)

Daily Photo 3.1.10 (splashing water)
Ok, I am sort of cheating, this is a photo from yesterday, but I was way too busy and tired to go out tonight, or even hold up my camera (the Canon 40D is heavy!). This is water splashing on rocks at a fountain at the Palmer Events Center. I love photographing water at different speeds!
Inspired…
I got inspired earlier by the spider web photos on http://www.lightstalking.com/webs, so I thought I would dig out my spider web photos. They are not good, but it was my first try at it. I was balancing on a chair on my balcony trying to get the right angle to get the photo, spraying it with water. It was fun, but I am sure I looked ridiculous doing it!
