Today I thought I would share a photo of one of the pianos around town. There are several towns that have had pianos around town as part of “Play me, I’m Yours”. I realized that they will just be around Austin till the end of the month, so there’s one week left to check them out. We happened to find a young man playing it when we went to Doug Sahm Hill this evening, and it was wonderful! I think I will try to photograph the rest of them if I can this week, and I hope to find people playing them! If you happen to be going to play one of the pianos, let me know! I will try to come by and get a photo. Check out the website http://www.artallianceaustin.org/play-me-i-am-yours.html for more information.
I went on a photo walk last night organized by Austin photographer Alex Suarez (thanks Alex!). There really didn’t seem to be much as far as Christmas lights, but I managed to find some things to photograph. By the way, what’s up with no Christmas lights over Congress Avenue, Austin??
Here are my favorite photos from last night. The first 3 are a window display and the last is the Austonian building with the clouds and moon. It looked awesome!
We had a pretty good storm blow through Austin tonight. I love the reflection of the light on the wet street, and the air seems so clean!
Well, I delivered 4 of my large paintings to Max’s Wine Dive today. They will be hanging during some special parties they will be having during SXSW and hopefully a few weeks past that. They will actually be at “MAX’s Underground“, which is downstairs. If you want to go and check it out, when you go in, just let them know you want to see the artwork, and they will take you down there. They usually only have private parties down there.
Well, after I dropped of my pieces, I saw this image and I thought it was the perfect “Austin” photo for Max’s!
Thank you Alex Suarez for organizing the Photo walk! It was fun, and great to hang out and talk to other photographers.
Tonight was the first night of SXSW, Film & Interactive. These are a few of the shots I took, they are all on 6th St. We waited outside the Ritz hoping for a glimpse of Robert Rodriguez, but no luck!
Yes, another photo of the Austonian at night. I wanted to try to get a better photo than before, and I think I did it. I can’t help it! I can see it from my place so it’s easy to photograph!
