Ok, so everyone is doing it!!! I had to too!!! How could I let the Super Moon pass me by without getting a photo! I have photographed the moon before several times, but it’s always a challenge. Here it it, from in between cloud cover. May take another one later when the moon is more “white”.
I was in Wyoming a couple of weeks ago, with a gorgeous full moon. The view was breathtaking, and there was no way I could capture it in a photo, but I tried. Also my attempt at a star trail shot (not a very good one!)
Here’s a few of my night shots.

I realized a couple of days ago that I forgot to take a look at my lightning photos from a few weeks ago. I was quite disappointed in most of them, but I guess it’s all about the learning process. This I think is the best one out of the bunch. My problem with most of them was that they were out of focus! (Grrr) Oh well, I will work at it next time.
I thought I would post a few of my favorite photos from my road trip. I drove to Wyoming from Texas with my daughter, and had a great time. We had a blast playing with the photo apps on my Evo phone! Even the boring scenery was made fun with the apps! Our favorite to use I think was Vignette. We had so much fun making everything look “mini” with the tilt-shift feature!
If you want to see the rest of my trip photos, including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, check out my Facebook page!
I always find challenging photos the most fun. It’s almost like, I want to see if I can get it. I love photographing the moon, and there were plenty of clouds so I had to wait till there was a break. I amazingly only took 20 photos to get this one (the clouds were moving fast!). I don’t know if I could have gotten any more detail in the moon without loosing the clouds. I am pretty happy with it.
Tough choice, I had so many good ones, but here’s my favorites! I love the reflection in the 360 Condos! (The tall building next to the fireworks)
Well, I am ready for the eclipse tonight. I went out to get a few test shots, got my tripod set up, now if I can only wake up in the middle of the night! I got this shot of the moon behind the tree. Love it! It looks spooky.
I went on a photo walk last night organized by Austin photographer Alex Suarez (thanks Alex!). There really didn’t seem to be much as far as Christmas lights, but I managed to find some things to photograph. By the way, what’s up with no Christmas lights over Congress Avenue, Austin??
Here are my favorite photos from last night. The first 3 are a window display and the last is the Austonian building with the clouds and moon. It looked awesome!
I was waiting (forever) to pull out of a parking lot and I had to take this photo. Taken with my Evo, the RetroCamera App. The corner of S, 1st and Barton Springs Rd. seems to be the place for birds! (eek!)
We had a beautiful rainbow today in Austin! 🙂
