Blog Post 8.18.12 (Son & Baby Photo)

I love technology!  What would we do without our smart phones? When you just don’t have your camera with you and you just have to take a photo these smart phones really come in handy!! I went to see my new grandson (my son’s baby) and I had to photograph their interaction.  It’s just so sweet! I love this photo!!! (Next time I need to remember to take my big Canon!!) 🙂

This was taken with my Evo, made B & W in Photoshop.

Daily Photo 10.9.10 (A Candle for John Lennon)

I lit my John Lennon candle in honor of what would have been his 70th Birthday today.  Yes, I have a John Lennon candle!  Thanks to my artist friend Bill Stidham.  Check out his fabulous artwork (specially his “Sacred Heart” Series) on his website, or go see him if you are at ACL!

Daily Photo 7.20.10 (At the Pool)

This has to be one of the cutest most photographed little boys ever! (yes, his mom follows him with a camera also.)  He came over to hang out and swim at the pool.  I love photographing little kids.  They are just being themselves, so if you are willing to spend a little time and take quite a few shots you will get amazing photos, just about every time!

Daily Photo 6.16.10 (Off Camera Lighting Workshop)

First of all, thank you Austin Smug Meet up Group (for putting the workshop together), thank you Tim Babiak (for teaching) and thank you Gabriela (for modeling), for the great workshop tonight.  I learned a lot, and it was great getting to shoot photos while we were there.  Here is one of my portraits.  Now I need to keep practicing!!!  Portraits anyone????

Daily Photo 4.28.10 (Senior Portraits)

I was shooting Senior Portraits for my friend’s son this afternoon.  Still learning, but having fun.  This is one of the shots I like.  The shadows are probably a bit harsh, but I like the way the photo came out.  I am also learning not to shoot hundreds of photos!  I did not get carried away and got several shots at 5 different spots with a couple of different outfits.  Looking forward to learning some more! (by the way, this is at Austin City Hall)
